Happy in the new high chair!

Asher's new high chair and big boy carseat came today! He tried out his high chair, but Mama was more excited about it than he was! He is really just growing so much. He is so smiley, and he is just on the brink of rolling over from his back to his tummy. He makes all kinds of noise to get attention, and starts to fuss if we leave the room...spoiled already!

Tummy time!

Asher's been spending some time on his tummy lately, and he doesn't seem to mind too much. He is holding his head up pretty well, and can roll half-way over. He's growing so much!

Photos!

Katie made a little memo board out of a cookie sheet--she was so proud! I think we might this picture in to Family Fun magazine...that's where she got the idea! The cookie sheet was $3 at Dollar General, and she used scrapbooking stuff to decorate it...anyone recognize their kids in the pictures she has on there? :o) It turned out pretty cute! I love this picture of Asher in his "I (heart) Mommy" shirt, he looks so stinking cute in red! Look at those dimples...don't you just want to kiss those little cheekies? We went to the park and rode the train a couple of weeks ago. It was a nice evening, and Asher had his first time on the train and Merry-go-round.

A tooth!

We have a tooth! Asher had his first little jiblet poke through his bottom gum today! He has been drooling like crazy, and just putting everything in his mouth, and it finally came through.

We have been busy lately. I hate it that I haven't had time to blog. Asher is growing so fast, it seems like he changes every day. Katie has been busy with school and church activities. Kris's work schedule changed, and it has been a difficult adjustment for us all. We were so used to having a set schedule, and now it's different every week. It's been a little stressful. I am scheduled to start working part time this next week, but the date has been pushed back again to the 18th, because of the pay period and some work that I still have to do. I have been so nervous about our finances, and I am having a difficult time laying my burdens at the Lord's feet. I know I need to, and I need to do it soon before I stress myself out of my mind! I think I just need to pray tonight...for a long time. I just need to have a conversation with God...and take a little rest in his assurance.

Dad's words...

I saw a scrapbook layout today that got me thinking about some of the things that my dad always said when we were young, and still does today. I just want to list some of them here while I'm thinking about it.
"It's better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick"=look on the bright side, be optimistic.
"Are you red-eyed?"=are you ready?
"Oh, horse collars!"="Oh bologna!"
"How y'all are t'night?"=from Justin Wilson, I think...Dad's favorite comedian.
"Rootin' Tootin' Raspberries!"=I'm not actually sure what this one means...
"Well, I'll be dipped!"
And he used to sing to me, "Annie Fannie, daddy's little fatty, bread and butter 20 times a day!"
